1985– YKI was incorporated to purchase and operate the M/V Yardarm Knot, a processing vessel devoted to the Alaskan salmon, herring and crab fisheries. |

1988– M/V Yardarm Knot was modified to process crab and operated very successfully. |
|
1994-YKI acquires the F/T Highland Light. Since her acquisition, this vessel has been producing some of the finest pollock products and employing over 100 people. |
|
1998– YKI acquires the M/V Westward Wind , a crab catcher/processor. |
|
1999– Due to a decline in crab stocks, the M/V Yardarm Knot is forced into inactivity. |

2003– YKI acquires the Red Salmon Cannery in Naknek, AK |
